The Transformation from Minority Mindset to Briefs Media
Despite the success of Market Briefs, the journey has been far from easy.
In early 2022, Jaspreet made the decision to rebrand Minority Mindset as his personal brand and establish Market Briefs as a separate entity under the name Briefs Media. This transition came with its fair share of challenges.
One major hurdle was the migration of Market Briefs to a new email service provider that better suited the company’s needs.
The Challenging Migration Process
After extensive research, numerous introductory calls, and a complex migration process, a new email service provider was chosen.
Despite the content creation team’s efforts to maintain reader engagement, the migration process led to some difficulties. Subscribers were not receiving emails as efficiently as before, resulting in a significant drop in open rates. However, this setback did not deter Jaspreet and his team.
Following the arduous migration, Briefs Media received unexpected news from the new email service provider – they were not allowed to send emails that contained sponsored content or educational information on certain financial topics. This posed a serious threat to Market Briefs’ core content strategy.
A Fresh Start
Determined to overcome this setback, Jaspreet and his team swiftly identified a new email service provider that shared their values and vision for the newsletter.
They had to manually input subscribers into the new system to account for those who had signed up but never received emails, a time-consuming task. Fortunately, the new provider helped Market Briefs regain its momentum as a valuable newsletter.
Just when things seemed to be back on track, the former email service provider reached out to apologize for their mistake and attempted to win back Market Briefs as a client. However, Jaspreet made the firm decision to move forward with the new provider.
