In an effort to attract more agents and stay ahead of the competition, eXp Realty has made a significant move in California.

The Prime Real Estate Team has decided to leave their current brokerage, Side, and bring their 21 agents to eXp. Led by the dynamic duo of Angelica Galeana Yost and Robert Yost, this team serves the Sacramento and Folsom areas in Northern California.

With 19 years of experience in real estate, Robert Yost leads the team while Angelica serves as co-team lead and director of growth.

CEO Leo Pareja expressed his excitement about the new addition, stating, “We are thrilled to welcome Robert, Angelica, and their team to eXp Realty. Their dedication to excellence and focus on growth perfectly align with our mission. eXp Realty continues to attract top-tier agents, and we are experiencing significant growth globally as more agents recognize the value of our platform.”

According to RealTrends Verified, the team achieved $126 million in sales volume from 211 transactions in 2023.

Explaining their decision to switch brokerages, Robert Yost shared, “We had reached a ceiling with our previous brokerage and needed a platform that could provide us with more opportunities for growth and, in turn, offer more value to our agents. eXp Realty’s unique structure, Fast Forward Movement, and collaborative culture all resonated with us and perfectly aligned with our objectives.”

eXp Realty is among the national brokerages experiencing rapid growth by adding agents and teams. Recently, CanZell Realty and New York-based Grand Lux Realty also joined the eXp family.

Brokerages have been facing pressure since the National Association of Realtors settled antitrust lawsuits against them for $418 million in March. Recent data from AccountTECH indicates that larger brokerages are more financially vulnerable to commission drops compared to smaller ones, mainly due to higher overhead costs associated with office space and management.

This week, eXp Realty settled commission lawsuits for $34 million, relieving itself of a significant legal burden.
