Canopy MLS, based in Charlotte, NC, has announced a software partnership aimed at increasing member involvement in the rental market, according to a statement released on Jan. 31.
Rental Beast, a popular rental listing syndication platform, will provide Canopy members with access to its Apply Now application and tenant screening process. Additionally, the MLS will direct applicants to OneHome by CoreLogic, another Canopy partner used for client collaboration.
This collaboration of tools creates a streamlined process for agents looking to build relationships with renters for future real estate transactions and generate additional revenue with minimal time investment.
Canopy MLS hopes that Rental Beast’s presence in its ecosystem will offer various efficiencies, including a more user-friendly application experience and easier access through an agent’s OneHome interface, reducing the need for multiple front-end systems for applicants.
“Canopy MLS subscribers will receive listing-specific Quick Apply Links, making it easy to share applications via email, text, or social media,” the statement noted. “This simplifies the leasing process and attracts more qualified leads.”
Rental Beast’s extensive online reach is expected to increase exposure for both the property listings and the agents marketing them.
Canopy’s leadership expressed their commitment to providing modern, consumer-centric tools for agents to succeed through this latest partnership.
“Canopy MLS is dedicated to offering technology solutions that empower our subscribers to excel in all aspects of real estate, including rentals,” said Anne Marie DeCatsye, Esq., CEO of Canopy Realtor Association/Canopy MLS. “By integrating Rental Beast’s Apply Now with CoreLogic’s OneHome, we are equipping agents with the tools to streamline transactions, better serve clients, and maximize rental opportunities.”
Rental Beast has expanded its presence in the real estate market in recent years, including partnerships with the California Association of Realtors and Realtor.com. The company offers a comprehensive rental property solution, providing efficient systems for tenant screening, operations management, apartment searching, unit marketing, agent training, and other essential tasks.
Canopy recently announced another technology update, introducing an AI support tool called Ardi on Jan. 28. This tool aims to provide subscribers with quick access to critical information anytime, anywhere, with the AI assistant continuously learning and improving its responses to support requests.
“This partnership is a significant step in our mission to simplify rentals for MLSs and their members,” said Ishay Grinberg, CEO and founder of Rental Beast, in the statement.
