NASA is excited to offer the Fall 2025 Next Gen STEM Internship at the Kennedy Space Center (KSC) in Florida. This internship provides a hands-on experience in communications, design, education, and STEM engagement to inspire the next generation of STEM leaders.
About the Internship
The Next Gen STEM Internship, managed by NASA’s Office of STEM Engagement (OSTEM), allows students to work on real NASA projects. Interns will contribute to enhancing NASA’s pre-college STEM offerings by developing content and virtual environments for Career Technical Education (CTE) Month.
Interns will utilize the Communique platform to create an interactive virtual event experience, showcasing NASA’s commitment to workforce development in STEM fields.

What You’ll Do as a NASA Next Gen STEM Intern
As an intern, you will:
- Design interactive virtual lobbies and booths for CTE events
- Create a cohesive visual identity for virtual event elements
- Develop educational and career exploration exhibits
- Configure attendee access and registration settings on the Communique platform
- Test cross-browser functionality for the virtual event
- Host online sessions with NASA experts
- Conduct research on past CTE Month events
- Implement interactive wayfinding for user navigation
- Support the development of NASA’s pre-college engagement strategy
