How did you get your start in real estate?

As a third-generation broker, real estate has always been a part of my life. Growing up in the industry, I developed a passion for it and eventually transitioned from studying American Sign Language to pursuing a career in real estate.

What do you wish more people knew about working in real estate?

Real estate is not as glamorous as portrayed on TV. It requires hard work, motivation, and self-drive. Collaboration and support among agents are crucial for success in this challenging industry.

What’s something you know now that you wish you knew when you started?

Getting involved in local boards and associations can provide invaluable insights and opportunities for growth. Volunteering and engaging with the community can enhance your skills and understanding of the industry.

What makes a good leader?

A good leader recognizes and nurtures the strengths of team members, motivates them positively, and guides them towards shared goals. Celebrating small achievements along the way is essential for fostering a supportive team environment.

What’s one thing you wish every agent knew?

Active participation in the real estate community and local initiatives is key to professional growth and success. Building strong relationships within the industry and the community can have a significant impact on your career.

It only takes one individual to drive positive change in the world. If you are interested in promoting positivity and making a difference, feel free to reach out to Christy Murdock via email for further collaboration and support. Let’s work together to create a better future for all.
