The competition in the real estate recruitment landscape in Palm Beach has escalated with Compass securing the talents of Thor Brown from Douglas Elliman and Sam Fingold, as reported by The Real Deal.
Jeff Dono, sales manager for COMPASS in Palm Beach, expressed his excitement about the contributions that Thor Brown will bring to the market. He stated, “Thor’s expertise in the luxury market and his outstanding track record make him an invaluable addition to our firm.”
Dono also emphasized the value of Sam Fingold’s extensive network, both locally and internationally, in enhancing Compass’ market share.
With a sales volume exceeding $300 million, Brown aims to provide his clients with a modern and effective approach to property launches and home searches. His 25-year career in real estate includes experience at Barclay’s International, Fite Shavell, Corcoran, and Douglas Elliman, specializing in luxury properties across various price ranges.
Originally from the northeast, Brown has deep roots in Palm Beach, where he has resided for nearly three decades.
At Compass, Brown will lead the luxury sales division, while Fingold will serve as a luxury real estate advisor, as detailed by South Florida Agent Magazine. Both professionals will be based at Compass’ Palm Beach Island office on 150 Worth Avenue.
Fingold brings over 25 years of experience in both residential and commercial real estate, with previous roles at Kenyon Investments, LLC, and Pan Pacific Development. His dual Canadian and U.S. citizenship allows him to offer unique insights to clients seeking properties in tropical settings.
The recruitment of Brown and Fingold aligns with Compass’ strategy to strengthen its foothold in Florida’s luxury real estate market.
Earlier this year, Compass established its office at 150 Worth Avenue, accommodating a team of over 100 agents, as reported by The Real Deal. This expansion followed the opening of two other Compass offices in 2023, as well as the acquisition of Attorneys Key Title, a Fort Lauderdale-based title company.
