Warren Buffett, the renowned investor, is closely watched for his investment decisions. Berkshire Hathaway, the company he leads, discloses its current holdings to shareholders every quarter.

Here are some of the changes made by Buffett, Todd Combs, and Ted Weschler during the second quarter, as per the latest 13F filing with the SEC. The holdings are as of June 30, 2024.

Berkshire Hathaway’s portfolio holdings: Where Buffett & Co. are buying/adding

Ulta Beauty (ULTA)

Berkshire initiated a position in Ulta Beauty with 690,000 shares worth $266 million.

HEICO (HEI-A)

Berkshire added over a million shares of HEICO worth more than $185 million.

Chubb Limited (CB)

Berkshire increased its stake in Chubb by 4.3 percent, with a value of $6.7 billion.

Liberty Sirius XM Series A/C (LSXMA and LSXMK)

Berkshire added to its position in Liberty Sirius XM Series A and C shares, totaling $2.3 billion.

Occidental Petroleum (OXY)

Berkshire slightly increased its stake in Occidental Petroleum to $16.1 billion.

Sirius XM Holdings (SIRI)

Berkshire significantly raised its position in Sirius XM to $376 million.

Apple (AAPL)

Berkshire reduced its stake in Apple by over 49 percent, holding 400 million shares valued at $84 billion.

Capital One Financial (COF)

Berkshire decreased its position in Capital One Financial to about 9.8 million shares.

T-Mobile US (TMUS)

Berkshire trimmed its stake in T-Mobile US to nearly 4.7 million shares.

Paramount Global (PARA)

Berkshire exited its stake in Paramount Global.

Snowflake (SNOW)

Berkshire sold its entire stake in Snowflake.

Chevron (CVX)

Berkshire reduced its position in Chevron to about 119 million shares.

Louisiana-Pacific Corp. (LPX)

Berkshire decreased its stake in Louisiana-Pacific Corp. to nearly 6 million shares.

Floor & Decor Holdings (FND)

Berkshire cut its position in Floor & Decor to just below 4 million shares.

Liberty Live Group A/C (LLYVA and LLYVK)

Berkshire trimmed its holdings in Liberty Live to a combined value of about $605 million.

Top stock holdings in Buffett’s portfolio

Berkshire’s top five holdings at the end of the second quarter accounted for about 73 percent of the portfolio’s value:

  1. Apple (AAPL) – $84.2 billion
  2. Bank of America (BAC) – $41.1 billion
  3. American Express (AXP) – $35.1 billion
  4. Coca-Cola (KO) – $25.5 billion
  5. Chevron (CVX) – $18.6 billion

In the second quarter of 2024, Buffett repurchased about $345 million of Berkshire stock, indicating his belief in undervaluation.
